Health and wellbeing campaign
Wellbeing and occupational health are areas in which RWE npower invest heavily to improve their employees’ working lives. Over half of RWE npower’s staff said they would change their lifestyle; as a result morale is up and absenteeism down. The initiative from RWE npower was to communicate an inclusive message to the company about wellbeing, motivating employees rather than ‘lecturing’ them. They wanted their staff to make informed decisions about their own – and their families’ – lifestyles.
The team at WPA Pinfold created a campaign with the strapline ‘I’m a wellbeing’, using entertaining and engaging characters to demonstrate the different themes and topics. A new theme was introduced every three months with a launch supported by ads, posters, banners and booklets that together form a desktop resource. The initiative created a powerful buzz within the company with quantifiable improvements in attitudes to health and lifestyle and a more positive atmosphere in the workplace.
